Greg Ferrara is a Spirit led musician who feels called to lead others to Christ through music. Greg is a dynamic praise leader who has a unique gift that draws teens and adults into full praise and worship.
When asked, Greg has described a Mass or event as an assembly of friends, old and new, who are intimately celebrating God’s goodness in our lives and are on a journey together to seek the face of God in an evening, in a moment. His love for leading praise and worship feeds his spirit by being a witness and a part of a community that draws together as the Body of Christ.
Greg’s prayer before leading worship is humble and simple, “I’m praying that God uses the music ministry team to open up to His Word, message, and sacrifice through praise and that He enables me to get out of the way so that the people called to attend can meet God in true worship.”
For Greg it’s not enough to provide great music, technically. Praise and worship music must be created with an assembly of a band that first prepares as a prayer team and then as musicians. It’s important that as musicians, we acknowledge our gifts and know we’ve been called to serve a great God. As a ministry team we must be open to self-abandonment, to be led by the Holy Spirit, and humble enough to play our very best for Him.
Greg prayerfully discerns and leads a flow of music and praise that enables people to feel the enthusiasm and power of the Holy Spirit moving through a room. He helps facilitate an environment that is prayer and praise filled, to provide those called to attend to experience joy, hope and a glimpse of the greatness of God’s love.
As a Catholic songwriter and musician, Greg’s desire is to provide music that inspires the listener to think and to challenge them to live differently. The music he performs and carefully writes for liturgy is respectful of the liturgical requirements. The music he creates for praise and worship is reflective of where God exists in our lives and reaches out to many generations. Greg’s musical arrangements range from ballads to a hard rock sound with a message of inspiration
When asked what the three key messages are to teens and adults through the music Greg plays and writes they clearly are:
- Christ loves you right where you are
- Christ calls us to live our Baptism, and gives us the sacraments to strengthen us on our journey
- God is the creator of all that exists and wants a relationship with us and how humbling that really is in the big scheme of ALL that God created.
Greg has sixteen years experience in leading music for Catholic liturgy, retreats, praise and worship around the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Greg has discovered, acknowledged and accepted that serving God as a musician is where God has called him to serve.

Hello, you were wonderful at Queen of Angels. I wanted to see if you would be interested in performing at Saint Peter Chanel’s parish picnic. It is Sept.30 it is a Sunday from 1-5. My budget is very small.
Thanks,
